Chinedu Unaka is a Los Angeles-based comedian, actor, and writer. He recently performed as a featured comedian on Comedy Central Presents and as a special guest on the Arsenio Hall Late Night Show, as part of the Netflix is Joke Comedy Festival. His hilarious Don't Tell Comedy Set has garnered millions of views, showcasing his exceptional talent and unique comedic flare. He starred as 'Sly' in the new movie House Party produced by LeBron James and directed by Calmatic, and as Tristan in Quinta Brunson's Emmy-winning Abbott Elementary on ABC. Chinedu can be seen as a series regular every Wednesday on FUSE TV's 'We Need To Talk About America.' His hour-long comedy album "Mostly Kidding" debuted at #1 on iTunes and was taped in front of a sold-out crowd at Caroline's in New York, executive produced by himself and Comedy Dynamics. Chinedu was also featured in projects on HBO (Insecure), SHOWTIME (It's A Party), FOX (The Mindy Project), HULU (Coming to the Stage), Two Minutes of Fame (HULU), and Shithouse (IFC Films). Chinedu is the Co-Host, Co-Executive Producer, and Co-Head Writer of the Spotify Original Podcast 'Nosy Neighbors,' which was nominated for Best Comedy Podcast at The Ambies. Chinedu was recently chosen as 'A Comic to Watch' by Timeout LA and was an NBC Stand Up for Diversity Finalist. Chinedu's other credits include: 'Are you Listening?' As a touring comedian, Chinedu is a crowd favorite, headlining comedy clubs and colleges globally. Born and raised in South Los Angeles by parents who emigrated from Nigeria, Chinedu got his start in entertainment through stand-up while attending college at the University of California, Santa Barbara. After graduating with a BA in Sociology, Chinedu moved back to LA, where he attended Loyola Marymount University for his Masters in Education immediately after. While in school, he spent time teaching and entertaining inner-city students with mild to moderate special education needs. In between lesson plans, Chinedu made time to pursue his artistic dreams before eventually leaving teaching after proudly serving the inner-city youth of Los Angeles for six years.
